I love sweet potato fries! I prefer eating them with honey but a lot of people eat them as is or with ketchup. These are a great healthier substitution for French fries which are fried in oil with starchy white potatoes. These are very easy to make…very.
2 sweet potatoes
Honey (to drizzle)
o1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees (bake).
o2. Peel sweet potatoes and slice them into 1/4 inch wide slices. Try to keep them similar thickness so they cook evenly. (be careful when cutting sweet potatoes, they are very hard and your knife could slip) Toss the sweet potato fries in just enough oil to lightly cover them (don’t overdo the oil because they may come out greasy). Add just enough salt, pepper and garlic powder to your liking.
o3. Line a baking sheet with the fries. Make one even layer, no overlapping. Place in oven for 20 minutes. Turn occasionally.
o4. When the fries are done (they will be darker and softer) place them on a plate with a paper towel on it. Drizzle honey over the fries and enjoy!
If your fries come out soggy-esque, place them back in the oven on low broil to get them crispy.
